Kaitlyn's checkup

Kaitlyn had her well visit yesterday. Due to scheduling mishaps, she was actually 3.5 months old for this one. I knew that she was a tiny little girl, but it was still funny to see how much she dropped! She was at the 47% mark when she was born at 8 lbs 1 oz, but is now only pulling a 14% with 11 lbs 4 oz. She is over the average height for her age, so that makes her really drawn out! But all of that is torso. So for example, the little one peice short outfit she has on today fits her from shoulder to diaper quite well, and it is a 3-6 month outfit. But the shorts portion looks more like capris. And it is a huge, baggy sack on her all the way along, because she is so skinny. Poor thing! She is perfectly healthy though. And the doctor said that as long as we continue to gain weight, things are good. Plus she is the happiest, cutest little baby, so I can't complain.

Yesterday was also the day that both of my parents flew home. My mom has been in town for two weeks helping to care for her Dad, who lives up in Salt Lake. Since he lives in a care center currently, my mom stayed with us each night and commuted up there to work with her Dad each day. Tyler became good buddies with his Grandma when she was here in January for Kaitlyn's birth, but it took him a couple of days to warm up to her this time! The only thing we can figure out is that he was upset she left him, because he treated Daddy the same way when he came back from a business trip this weekend. And my dad was able to spend the weekend with us after a conference in Vegas last week. I miss them already!
